Junk Jaws

About Junk Jaws

A family owned junk removal company serving Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. When you call, you reach the family — not a call center, and not a franchise office three states away.

Our Story

Junk Jaws trucks parked side by side.

The idea showed up at a family party. Joe was working a corporate job at the time, and the conversation turned to his uncle's company and the work he'd done there over the years — clearing out houses, loading trucks, hauling what people couldn't move themselves. It was honest work with a clear beginning and end, and the more he talked about it, the more it sounded like something he wanted to build himself.

He'd spent enough time in offices to know what he didn't want: layers of process between the person doing the work and the person paying for it. His uncle's company ran on the opposite model. You showed up, you looked at the job, you gave a number, and you cleared it out. Joe wanted that, with his own name behind it.

Junk Jaws started with one truck. Joe took the calls, drove to the estimates, and did the lifting. Word moved the way it does in Chicago neighborhoods — a basement cleared for one family led to a garage for their neighbor, then an estate for a cousin in the suburbs.

One truck became a growing fleet. What hasn't changed is who answers the phone and how the job gets priced: a real conversation, an up-front number, and a crew that treats your home like a relative's.

Our North Star

Leave the place better than we found it. Three rules make that real on every job.

1

Price Before We Lift

You hear the number up front, and it covers labor, pickup, and disposal. Nothing is added at the curb.

2

Treat It Like Family's

Floors covered, doorways protected, swept room when we leave. Cleanouts come at hard moments and we work accordingly.

3

Landfill Is The Last Stop

Anything usable is donated, anything recyclable is sorted, and what's left goes to a licensed facility.

The Crew

The people at your door

Every crew member is background-checked, uniformed, and trained to work clean — floors covered, doorways protected, and the room swept before we leave.

Junk Jaws started with one truck and two workers. Today a growing fleet rolls out of the yard every morning with crews who know the neighborhoods they're driving into. They do the heavy lifting so you don't: disassembling large items, carrying pieces out from wherever they sit, and sorting what can be donated or recycled before anything heads to a landfill.

We're always looking for good people. If you show up and treat someone's home with respect, we'll teach you the rest.

In The Community

Most of what we load isn't garbage. Before anything heads to a landfill, we sort it on the truck and route what we can back into the neighborhood.

Donations

Furniture, appliances, and household goods in good condition go to local organizations, so they get resold in the same communities we work in.

Recycling

Metal, wood, and electronics are separated and processed at licensed facilities, keeping them out of landfills and reducing what the job leaves behind.
